If you applied for the 2026 Prep School Year you would have received, you Letter of Offer. If you have not, please contact the office. Below you will find a link to our 2026 Prep Transition Program and the Kinder Information Form that is due by August 13th. Remember to collect your child's Prep designed T-Shirt at the office to wear on transition days.
At Montpellier Primary School, we understand that even though the first days of Prep are exciting, it can also be quite a nervous time for students and parents. To help students become more familiar with their new school environment we offer a Transition Program that begins the previous year to your child starting school.
The Transition Program commences in November 2025 with the kinder children and their parents visiting the school to experience school life. The school offers 3 morning session where students come along to school and take part in activities. These sessions include classroom activities, Physical Education and Art. They provide the opportunity for children and parents to meet the different teachers they will be working with and a chance to become familiar with the school buildings and facilities. During the morning session the children participate in activities in their new classroom with their new classmates and the teacher they will have for their Prep year. While the children are in their classroom, parents attend an information session which ends with a morning tea. Each family receives a school readiness fun pack to use at home.
We encourage parents to visit the school during the school holidays or weekends leading up to their child starting school to familiarise them with the playgrounds and school yard.
The Prep team is available to answer any questions you may have during this exciting time.
