The Montpellier community of students, parents and staff is highly motivated and shares a vision of excellence for the school. The core purpose of the school is to provide a comprehensive education for all students enabling them to reach their academic, social and physical potential.
MISSION STATEMENT
Montpellier Primary School offers a high quality, stimulating education in a caring supportive environment. We are committed to "Striving for Excellence" with the aim of every student achieving their maximum learning potential. This is supported through:
- Delivering a balanced educational program that incorporates the VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards) Curriculum and the VELS best practice foundations of Equity and Inclusiveness, Innovation & Creativity, Clarity of Essential Learning and Assessment of Learning
- Maintaining a safe, orderly and caring environment.
- Providing teaching and learning strategies which recognise self esteem and encourage children to accept challenges.

AIMS
Montpellier will work in partnership with parents and the community to empower our students to live in and contribute to a rapidly changing society and to become responsible, independent children who care about others and their environment.
We encourage everyone to have a sense of belonging and pride in the whole school community.
Our aims for the pupils are that they should:
